The parents of three-year-old Ryleigh Hillcoat-Bee are left heartbroken and outraged after learning that her life could have been saved. Ryleigh passed away from rhabdomyolysis, a rare condition that breaks down muscles and affects roughly one in 200,000 people in the UK.
Coroner Alan Wilson of Blackpool and Fylde revealed that doctors failed to notice critical warning signs during her treatment. After a five-day stay at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, Ryleigh was discharged despite showing a lack of mobility and other concerning symptoms. Tragically, she died three months later.
