While cleaning out our grandfather’s garage, we came across an unusual wooden object tucked away beneath years of dust and forgotten belongings. At first glance, it was difficult to identify.
The piece featured a small wooden seat supported by sturdy legs, with a metal attachment extending from one end. The metal edge had a series of finely spaced teeth, making it clear that it was designed for a specific purpose—but exactly what that purpose was remained a mystery.
Naturally, it sparked plenty of guesses. Some thought it might be part of an old workshop tool, while others wondered whether it had been used in food preparation or craftsmanship.
