With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking loss of Deborah, a woman whose strength, humor, and love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

In her final moments, I held her hand as her breathing grew slower and quieter. Each breath felt precious, yet impossible to hold onto. For so many years, Deborah had been full of life — bold, witty, warm, and completely herself. She had a way of filling a room with laughter, even when life gave her every reason to stay silent.

For five and a half years, she faced bowel cancer with courage no family should ever have to witness. There were surgeries, treatments, hospital visits, difficult conversations, and long days filled with uncertainty. There were moments of hope, followed by moments of fear. Yet through it all, Deborah continued to live with purpose.

She was not defined only by her illness.
