The Seattle Seahawks may have crushed the New England Patriots on the field at Super Bowl LX, but all anyone could talk about afterward wasn’t the score — it was Bad Bunny.
The Puerto Rican superstar, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, delivered a visually electrifying, high-energy halftime show in Spanish that lit up Levi’s Stadium on February 8. From rolling across a field of sugarcane to belting out his biggest hits, the six-time Grammy winner brought a bold celebration of Latin culture to the biggest stage in sports. Surprise appearances from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin added even more spectacle, and fans inside the stadium were mesmerized. Social media quickly erupted with praise.
But not everyone was impressed. Some viewers complained they couldn’t understand the lyrics — and former President Donald Trump went nuclear.
On Truth Social, Trump unleashed a blistering tirade:
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country… MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Trump hadn’t even attended the game, calling it “too far” to travel, but that didn’t stop him from criticizing the lineup — which included Green Day, a band he has openly opposed — or Bad Bunny himself. Earlier, he told the New York Post:
