What started as an ordinary Tuesday morning quickly turned into one of the strangest office moments our team has ever experienced. No one expected the weekly meeting to leave us confused, speechless, and laughing in disbelief—but that’s exactly what happened after our boss handed every employee a mysterious gift with one simple instruction: “Be grateful.”
At first, the mood in the conference room felt completely normal. Coffee cups sat beside laptops, people exchanged casual small talk, and everyone expected another routine discussion about deadlines and reports. Then our manager walked in carrying a stack of small velvet pouches and began placing two in front of each employee without explanation.
There was no speech, no company announcement, and no clue about what we were receiving. After distributing the gifts, she calmly repeated, “Be grateful,” before walking out of the room and leaving us staring at one another in complete confusion.
Naturally, curiosity took over almost immediately.
