Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39, tragically lost her life in Operation Epic Fury, just days before she was scheduled to return home to her loved ones.
Last Messages Before the Attack
According to her family, Amor, a mother from White Bear Lake, Minnesota, had been eagerly looking forward to coming home. She was among six U.S. service members killed at Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, during a drone strike.
“She was almost home,” her husband, Joey Amor, told CBS. “You don’t go to Kuwait expecting something like this, and for her to be one of the first—it hurts.”
