One afternoon, while shopping at a local supermarket, I noticed a young mother standing in the baby aisle. She held her infant close and looked visibly overwhelmed. She wasn’t browsing the shelves like everyone else. Instead, she seemed unsure, scanning the store as though she was trying to gather the courage to ask for help.
At first, I continued shopping, but something told me to pay closer attention. A few moments later, she slowly approached my husband and me.
