Meanwhile, nearly 16 gloves were collected near Nancy’s home during search efforts, most discarded by searchers, but one contains crucial DNA potentially linking it to the armed individual seen tampering with her front door. Authorities are also reviewing footage of a Range Rover SUV towed from a Tucson-area Culver’s parking lot; the driver was briefly detained and released after questioning.
Video shows the suspect as a man roughly 5’9” with a medium build, carrying a large “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack. Doorbell footage captures him walking cautiously onto Nancy’s porch, his head low, face obscured. Blood was discovered on the porch, and purported ransom notes demanding payment in Bitcoin were sent to news outlets. Two deadlines have since passed with no contact.
As the case enters its 15th day, Savannah Guthrie shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. Fighting back tears, she pleaded directly to whoever may have her mother: “It’s never too late… you’re not lost or alone… it’s never too late to do the right thing. We are here, and we believe in the essential goodness of every human being.”

Authorities have warned residents to expect significant police activity as the investigation continues and remain committed to following every lead, including the source of the ransom note sent to CBS News’ Tucson affiliate KOLD. The Guthrie family continues to urge whoever has Nancy to return her safely.
While questions about motive and identity remain, law enforcement continues to hold hope that Nancy Guthrie can be found alive. The public is encouraged to stay alert and report any information that could assist in locating her.
If you have any tips or information, contact local authorities immediately. Let’s hope for Nancy’s safe return and keep her family in our thoughts.
