Melania Trump May Be Preparing to Leave the White House for Good
Melania Trump has largely stayed out of the spotlight during her second term as First Lady, and insiders now suggest she could take an even bigger step to distance herself from Donald Trump. Sources indicate she’s seriously considering leaving the White House for good.
The couple’s relationship has long been a topic of speculation. Despite recently celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary, reports have painted a picture of a marriage marked by distance. Author Michael Wolff, who has chronicled the Trump family extensively, claimed that Melania “hates” her husband and that the couple essentially lives apart, maintaining separate bedrooms at the White House.
“She doesn’t live with him,” Wolff said on the Daily Beast podcast. “Whenever she was at the White House or Mar-a-Lago, it was like she was a guest. She basically lives in Trump Tower now.”
Melania herself made it clear that her second term would be different from her first, planning to split her time between Washington, Florida, and New York City rather than staying full-time at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
