For years, eggs carried an unfair reputation. They were often blamed for heart problems, high cholesterol, and unhealthy eating habits, causing many people to avoid them entirely. But modern nutrition research has shifted that conversation dramatically. Today, experts increasingly recognize eggs as one of the most nutrient-dense and affordable foods available, offering a powerful combination of protein, vitamins, and essential nutrients that support overall health.

At the center of that nutritional value is choline, an important nutrient found in egg yolks that plays a major role in brain function and liver health. Eggs also contain lecithin, which helps the body manage fats more effectively, along with high-quality protein that supports muscle maintenance, energy levels, and longer-lasting fullness throughout the day.

One of the biggest misconceptions surrounding eggs has always been cholesterol. For decades, dietary cholesterol was treated as a direct threat to heart health. However, newer studies suggest the relationship is more complex. For most healthy individuals, eating eggs does not automatically lead to dangerous increases in blood cholesterol levels.
