New Surveillance Images Released in Search for Missing Nancy Guthrie
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has released surveillance images showing an unidentified individual outside Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, home in the early hours before her disappearance on January 31, 2026. The person, dressed in dark clothing and gloves with only their eyes visible, was captured near the home’s entryway, and authorities are urging the public to help identify them.
Officials say retrieving the footage required extensive technical work. Portions of the home’s original surveillance data had been lost or overwritten, but investigators, working with federal partners and private companies, managed to recover partial images from stored backend systems. Authorities believe this new footage could provide critical insights into the events leading up to Nancy’s disappearance.
Savannah Guthrie, Nancy’s daughter and NBC’s “Today” co-host, shared the images publicly, appealing for anyone with information to come forward. She expressed hope that her mother is still alive and emphasized that someone may recognize the individual captured on camera.
