Vanessa blinked in confusion as Noah looked straight at her and said, “Every picture I took was of Nora because she’s the happiest person I’ve ever seen. I cropped you out on purpose.”
The room fell completely silent.
For a second, Vanessa looked as though she had misheard him.
“What did you say?”
“I wanted to remember the people who made the vacation fun,” Noah replied. “You were always asking everyone to take another picture of you, so I stopped putting you in mine.”
