In a major escalation in Middle East tensions, the United States and Israel launched coordinated airstrikes on Iranian targets early Saturday morning. The operation, described by U.S. officials as “Operation Epic Fury,” targeted military and strategic infrastructure, including command centers, missile sites, air defense systems, and nuclear-related facilities across multiple provinces such as Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Kermanshah, and Karaj.
U.S. officials said the strikes were intended to counter “imminent threats” from Iran’s nuclear program and regional proxy activities. Israeli leaders described the action as a preemptive measure to neutralize what they called an “existential threat” from the Iranian regime.
