A lip-reading analysis of a recent public appearance involving Donald Trump and Melania Trump has drawn attention online after claims emerged about a brief exchange between the couple during a state visit hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The moment, captured on the Truman Balcony during a military flyover, has been interpreted by lip reader Nicola Hickling, speaking to The Mirror, as showing a short conversation between the First Lady and former President Donald Trump.
According to the interpretation, Melania Trump appeared to say, “You’ve started now,” to which Donald Trump responded, “What, bear with me?” She was then said to have added, “Act nice,” before remarking, “It’s a beautiful day.” Trump allegedly replied, “Yeah, I’m proud of all you’ve done.”
As with all lip-reading claims, the exchange has not been independently verified, and such interpretations are often subject to uncertainty.
The visit itself attracted additional attention after reports that Donald Trump occasionally broke with traditional royal protocol during interactions with King Charles and Queen Camilla, prompting commentary across political and media circles.
Separately, renewed public interest in Melania Trump’s interactions with political figures has been fueled by excerpts from former First Lady Jill Biden’s memoir A View from the East Wing, which describes a brief and reportedly formal encounter during an inauguration-related motorcade ride.
