Man Detained in Nancy Guthrie Case Speaks Out for the First Time

An Arizona man who was briefly detained in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of TODAY co-host Savannah Guthrie, has spoken publicly for the first time.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, has been missing since February 1. Authorities have stated they believe she was abducted, prompting an extensive multi-agency search.

On February 13, a SWAT team executed search warrants at a Tucson residence located about two miles from Nancy’s home. Residents Luke Daley, 37, and his 77-year-old mother were detained during the search but later released without charges.

Speaking with True Crime Arizona host Briana Whitney on March 2, Daley addressed his involvement in the investigation.
