Man Detained in Nancy Guthrie Case Speaks Out for the First Time

“It’s not me. I don’t see any resemblance,” he said regarding a masked individual captured by a Nest doorbell camera the night Nancy disappeared. “Absolutely not. I have nothing to do with this case.”

Daley added, “Someone says something, and then they just go off of it based on no evidence, no truth. I, like everyone else, just want Nancy to come home and be safe.”

His attorney, Chris Scileppi, emphasized that neither Daley nor his mother has any connection to the case. “They were detained only while search warrants were executed,” Scileppi said. “Neither was arrested, and they have no information related to Nancy Guthrie. Like the rest of the Tucson community, they hope for her safe return.”

The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to Nancy’s recovery. The Guthrie family has also released a separate reward of up to $1 million for credible information.

On March 2, Savannah Guthrie and her siblings visited the Tucson home where their mother was last seen, placing flowers and observing a memorial in her honor.

Authorities continue to investigate the case, urging anyone with information to come forward to ensure Nancy’s safe return.
