U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated statements about Greenland have drawn international attention, and now Russia has issued a response.
Trump has argued that Greenland is vital for U.S. national security and suggested that if the United States does not assert control over the Arctic territory, other powers such as Russia or China might. In recent months, his rhetoric has intensified, including threats of economic measures against European allies.
