Ana Obregón, the well-known Spanish actress and television presenter, has shared a deeply personal story of love, loss, and family. After the death of her only son, Aless Lequio García, Obregón welcomed a baby girl through surrogacy using sperm her son had preserved before his illness.
Preserving a Legacy
Aless, Obregón’s only biological child, was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer, in 2018 at the age of 27. As part of his treatment plan, doctors advised storing sperm before chemotherapy, in case the treatment affected his fertility. Aless passed away in May 2020, leaving Obregón and her family devastated.
