On April 5, 2023, Obregón announced the birth of her granddaughter, Ana Sandra, affectionately called Anita. The child was conceived using the sperm her son had stored, combined with an egg donor. Obregón shared her emotional reflections on Instagram, describing the experience as a way to maintain a connection with her late son.

“When I hold her, I feel as if I’m holding my son again,” Obregón wrote. “I will care for her with all the love I have, and I know Aless is helping me from heaven.”

Honoring Her Son’s Wishes

Obregón emphasized that this decision was not made lightly, but was a fulfillment of her son’s wishes. “She is the most wanted child in the world, because she has been wanted from earth and from heaven,” she said. The actress plans to tell her granddaughter about her father’s life and bravery once she is old enough to understand.

“This girl is not my daughter, but my granddaughter,” Obregón explained. “She is Aless’ daughter, and when she grows up, she will know that her father was a hero and that he wanted her very much.”
