What Is This Sticky Gunk Found Under a Shelf?

It started with a simple mission: recover a lost LEGO piece from under the bookshelf.

Anyone who has children knows that area well. It is the dark little zone where toys disappear, dust gathers, and mystery objects wait patiently to be discovered years later. I grabbed a pencil and began poking around carefully, fully prepared to hit a sharp LEGO brick or some forgotten plastic accessory.

But instead of hard plastic, the pencil touched something strange.

It was lumpy. Crunchy. Slightly sticky-looking. Definitely not something I wanted to grab with my bare hand right away.

For one terrifying second, my brain jumped to the worst possible conclusion.

Please do not be a mouse.

Thankfully, there was no smell, no movement, and no sign of anything alive. Just a weird, dried-out little blob hiding in the shadows. Then the memory hit me.

It was Floam.

Not a toy car. Not a snack. Not a creature.
